We have our Eye on Your Bottom Line

Comfort/Death/Grief – God never promised us that we wouldn’t go through difficult situations. As a matter of fact, he said that bad things could and would happen to us. There is a great book called Why Do Bad Things Happen to Good People? The book explains that God doesn’t go around causing bad things to happen, but He is there to help us get through the bad times when they do happen. God also promises that our problems will never be too much for us to bear. His great reminder to us in difficult times is that whatever we are going through, it will soon pass. It is sometimes difficult for us to see past our present situation and to realize that things will get better. Another comforting fact that God reminds us of during difficult times is that our physical lives are only temporary. We are all just passing through. The time we spend on Earth is nothing compared to the time that we will spend with God in eternity. So don’t worry when difficult times arrive. Just remember God’s promise to us that we are all just passing through this world, on our way to a beautiful spiritual existence with Him - an existence filled with joy and love beyond anything that we can imagine. Also remember the following about the comfort which God gives us; He wants us to pass it on:

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.
